The Newfoundland Horticultural Society promotes gardening in our communities and aims to increase our members’ knowledge through a wide range of activities.
Anyone with an interest in plants is encouraged to become a member. Whether you garden indoors or out, are experienced or just starting out, you will benefit from meeting other gardeners.
The society also has two sub groups with special interests, the Floral Design Group and the John Cabot Rose Group.

About the Speaker: Meghan McCarthy, Assistant Horticulturalist at the Memorial University Botanical Garden, will discuss the iNaturalist App. Far more than just another plant identification app on your phone, it can help you create an inventory of your garden, create your seasonal growing diary, and so much more.

Potluck Feast: Please bring a hot or cold dish ready to share. Please plan to drop off your potluck item by 5:30 to allow us time to organize the offerings and start the AGM meeting on time. Dinner will be enjoyed directly following the AGM meeting. To ensure we have sufficient and varied food offerings, please be kind enough to RSVP to Patricia at newfoundlandhort@gmail.com by Nov 20th. If you decide after this date, please come anyway!, and bring what you love to share! We will have chafing dishes for the hot food and a refrigerator for anything needing to be kept cold. Gift Exchange: Please provide a wrapped gift (maximum value $20). If you are bringing a guest, please make sure to bring a gift for them too!
