“Where gardeners meet and grow together”

The Newfoundland Horticultural Society promotes gardening in our communities and aims to increase our members’ knowledge through a wide range of activities.

Anyone with an interest in plants is encouraged to become a member. Whether you garden indoors or out, are experienced or just starting out, you will benefit from meeting other gardeners.

The society also has two sub groups with special interests, the Floral Design Group and the John Cabot Rose Group.

Annual General Meeting:  WE NEED YOU!

On an annual basis, the Society meets to share and review reports of working committees and to elect new Board Officers and Directors. It is required by the Society’s Constitution, but it’s good practice for any organization to gather and examine past practice and plan future direction. As the Society’s Board comprises volunteers sourced from membership, this is YOUR opportunity to provide feedback on the year winding down and share your hopes and ideas for the one coming up. Plan to participate and make sure your 2024 membership has been paid, because only current members may vote at the AGM!
