Library

The Newfoundland Horticultural Society Library offers members access to a wide range of gardening literature on every kind of topic; whether information is needed on succulents or ornamental grasses, container water gardens or vegetable plots, members can find it in the Library’s store of books and periodicals, at monthly meetings. Initially begun over fifty years ago, the Library first contained books donated by members. Over the years, the Library has subscribed to many garden periodicals, primarily from England and North America. Despite current access to internet gardening sources, members still gravitate to the NHS Library table where new and used magazines, books, and seed catalogues inspire during long winter months as gardens and gardeners wait for spring.
